The Marina Association of Texas (MAT) is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization representing marinas across Texas’ inland and coastal waters, along with associate members who provide products and services to marinas.

Founded in 1973 through the Texas A&M University Sea Grant Program, MAT was the first association of its kind in the nation. Its mission is to improve, protect, and advance the interest of the marina industry in Texas. Members collaborate to share ideas, knowledge and experiences for the mutual benefit of all within the industry. MAT is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its members, with officers also chosen through member elections.
